The finale of the Paris Grand Slam. Promising thrilling and unforgettable moments.

An incredible ceremony set the stage, for a crowd who were ready for the climactic showdowns.

Before the finals, The 2024 Judo Awards winners were announced, celebrating exceptional achievements in the world of judo.

In the -81kg final, Francois GAUTHIER DRAPEAU earned his first Grand Slam gold medal with an uchi-mata for waza-ari. OTP Bank President Dr Sandor CSANYI awarded the medals.

I can’t believe it, winning my first gold medal in a Grand Slam and it’s Paris, it feels awesome. But yesterday I had a feeling, I was feeling good, I thought, I feel like tomorrow I’m going to do well and it happened so, very cool.

Winner of -81 kg category

At -70kg, Ai TSUNODA ROUSTANT earned her second gold medal in the Paris Grand Slam, with a beautiful seoi-otoshi for ippon. IOC Member Mr Balazs FÜRJES awarded the medals.

In -90kg, Jonghoon KIM scored ippon to mark his first Grand Slam gold medal. Former President of Croatia & IOC Member Mrs Kolinda GRABAR-KITAROVIC awarded the medals.

At -78kg, Patricia SAMPAIO topped the Paris podium after scoring ippon in style!

I created a mindset for the competition that helps me be here. I’m not saying I will win every competition but now I have the mindset of a champion, and that changed a lot.

UCI President, IOC Member Mr David LAPPARTIENT awarded the medals.

In -100kg, Dzhafar KOSTOEV stunned with this impressive ippon! IJF General Treasurer Dr Naser AL TAMIMI awarded the medals.

In +78kg, home favourite Lea FONTAINE secured another medal in her home city to the joy of her fans. IOC Member Mrs Filomena FORTES awarded the medals.

In +100kg, Inal TASOEV won with an ippon in golden score! ANOCA President & IOC Member Mr Mustapha BERRAF awarded the medals.

All weekend, French talent dazzled on the tatami with stunning ippons, igniting a fervent crowd. An extraordinary Grand Slam in Paris comes to a close.
