The village of Zafferia, in the worst-hit area of Italy's northern Sicily, Italy, is at the centre of a clean-up operation following severe floods. Firefighters and rescue workers are working hard to clear the mud and make the area safe.
Meanwhile, four motorists trapped in an underground train were rescued.
Emergency services also went to neighbouring towns affected by landslides, including Mili, Altolia, Cumia and Ponte Schiavo.
